What’s different about the Weatherstaff PlantingPlanner?

The Weatherstaff PlantingPlanner is a completely new type of garden design software, unlike any other. It’s not just a plant encyclopaedia - it does far more than simply provide a list of plants which satisfy certain criteria (red flowers in summer, for example). Neither is it merely a drawing tool for setting out garden layouts.

The PlantingPlanner is horticulturally based software with built-in intelligence, enabling gardeners with all levels of experience to start creating spectacular garden border designs.

Plan Generation

Using complex, intelligent design logic, the PlantingPlanner whizzes through thousands of plant combinations, selecting colours which harmonise (if you want shocking colour combinations – it can do that too!) and finding plants which not only suit your garden’s growing conditions, and your colour and style preferences, but which also work well together.

The best combinations are then arranged within a sophisticated structural framework, to create a tapestry of colour throughout the seasons.

Generating a plan takes less than a minute – a little longer for very large borders. A click of a button and the whole process starts again, randomly creating a new plan each time.

Plan Design Tools

A range of interactive tools can be used to modify and adjust the planting plan. You can accommodate existing plants, add favourites or even design the whole plan yourself. These tools work seamlessly with the auto-generation function giving you full flexibilty to create exciting planting designs.

The Planting Plan

Roll the cursor over the plan and the individual plants are highlighted, together with detailed information, colour photographs and comprehensive maintenance advice. Each plan has its own bespoke Maintenance Calendar.
